TheStack Programmes & Training

TheStack is an individual speed training programme for golfers.

Initially, a number of swing speed tests are conducted to determine a speed profile in the current swing. Qualitative data on strengths and weaknesses in generating club head speed is collected.

Then different training programmes are suggested. Starting with the programme that offers the greatest chance of increasing club head speed within 6-10 weeks (which equates to approximately 18 to 24 workouts).

TheStack Training Programme Flow

When you start your first programme, an exact plan is created regarding the required weights, breaks, recovery and performance data. TheStack always accesses this data for each workout and uses artificial intelligence to determine to what extent the training should be adjusted. So the system lives on data. The more you train, the better the system can adapt to you and make better recommendations.

The progress is determined regularly in order to check the newly gained speed. The further course of the programme is then adapted accordingly and the next training programmes are suggested.

All training programmes and algorithms have been developed by Dr. Sasho MacKenzie and are identical to those used by the best tour players and longdrive champions.

Currently available training programmes

The Foundation – most popular

The Foundation programme forms the basis of any speed training programme and is the entry point for most players. It already provides a clear improvement for every type of player and should be your starting point. Some players repeat this basic programme over and over again because they make such good progress with it.

There are 18 sessions in total, which take about 6 weeks to complete.

Full Speed Spectrum

This programme mainly addresses the neuromuscular system to achieve changes in power transmission and speed. This programme could be described as a little more advanced than the foundation programme. It includes 24 sessions over approximately 8 weeks.

Heavy Hitter

This programme is about improving your accuracy. Or to gain more control over the driver head. The emphasis is on training with heavy weights to improve the movement of those muscles that are responsible for maximum power transmission.

The Heavy Hitter Programme also includes 24 sessions over 8 weeks.

Neural Drive

This programme is designed primarily for golfers whose club head speed is below their capabilities. This means that they should be able to move the club faster than they actually do. It is also helpful for players who have trouble “kicking it into gear” and actually reaching their maximum.

Neural OverDrive

This programme takes the Neural Drive programme to the next level and is designed for players who have already completed the Neural Drive programme. During the programme you will mostly work with a “lead-foot” step. This means that you take a step towards the target during the swing, which improves coordination.

Both the Neural Drive and Neural OverDrive programmes run for 8 weeks and are completed with 24 training sessions.

Trail Arm Enhancer – Programme with only one arm

The Trail Arm is the right arm for right-handers and is specifically trained with this programme. The aim is to train this arm independently if it interferes with optimal power transfer in a two-handed swing. If you have problems with this arm in particular, you can train it separately with the help of this programme.

Lead Arm Enhancer – Programme with only one arm

The lead arm is the left arm for right-handers and is specially trained with this programme. The aim is to train this arm independently if it hinders optimal power transmission in a two-handed swing. If you have problems with this arm, you can train it separately with the help of this programme.

Both programmes run for 8 weeks and 24 units.
